In today’s fast-paced environment, the emphasis on simplifying daily tasks is increasing. In particular, this is true for business and education sectors where time-saving tools are crucial for staying ahead. Presentations, a staple in many professional settings, are at the forefront of this quest for efficiency . It’s clear why a variety of tools aimed at easing this task are emerging.

Among these, AI generated presentation tools are becoming increasingly popular, with Prezi introducing a solution that epitomizes simplicity in creating presentations. We’ll explore the concept of AI generated presentations more closely and look into how Prezi AI capabilities are transforming the presentation-making process.

What are AI generated presentations?

AI generated presentations are created using artificial intelligence technology to automate and enhance the process of designing and assembling slideshows. This technology can analyze content and suggest design layouts, select suitable images, generate text, and even create structured narratives based on the input it receives. AI can tailor presentations to specific audiences by understanding the context and purpose of the presentation and making recommendations to improve clarity, engagement, and impact.

The process typically involves inputting an outline or key points into the presentation generator AI tool, which then uses algorithms to generate a complete presentation. This can include everything from the arrangement of content on slides to the selection of colors, fonts, and multimedia elements that align with the presentation’s theme and goals.

AI generated presentations are designed to save time, reduce the effort needed to create compelling and visually appealing slides, and help users convey their messages more effectively. They are particularly useful for people who may not have strong design skills or those looking to streamline the presentation creation process.

Using AI tools for presentations: how do they work?

The idea that an AI tool can create a presentation is quite overwhelming, and some may be confused as to how they actually work. So, here are a few possible scenarios of how you might create an AI generated presentation using these tools.

1. Teacher creating a lesson presentation

Input: As a teacher preparing a presentation on the water cycle for a 5th-grade science class, you would input key topics like “Evaporation,” “Condensation,” “Precipitation,” and “Collection.” You might also include bullet points under each topic with key facts or questions you want to address, such as “How does evaporation work?” or “Examples of precipitation.”

How the AI works: The AI tool would analyze the input to understand the subject matter and the target audience (in this case, 5th-grade students). It would then select a template that is visually appealing to younger audiences, perhaps with vibrant colors and clear, large text. For each key topic, it would create a slide, using appropriate images (like clouds for condensation or raindrops for precipitation) and simplifying the provided information into digestible points for the students. It might also suggest interactive elements or questions to engage the students.

2. Business professional making a sales pitch

Input: A business professional preparing a sales pitch might input data about their product’s features, benefits, target market, and comparisons with competitors. They could also include sales data and testimonials.

How the AI works: The AI would organize this information into a logical flow, starting with an introduction to the product, followed by detailed slides on features and benefits, market analysis, competitor comparison, and concluding with sales success stories or customer testimonials. The tool would choose a professional template, incorporate graphs or charts for the sales data, and possibly include icons or bullet points for easy-to-read feature lists.

3. Event organizer announcing an upcoming conference

Input: An event organizer could input the conference theme, list of speakers, schedule, venue details, and registration instructions for an upcoming conference.

How the AI works: The AI tool would start with a slide introducing the conference theme, followed by individual slides for each key speaker, highlighting their name, photo, and the topic they’ll cover. It would then create slides for the schedule, detailing session times and locations, a map slide for the venue, and finally, a slide with registration details. The tool would likely use a formal yet inviting template, with clear sections for each part of the conference and perhaps interactive links to speaker bios or the registration page.

As you can see from these scenarios, the most important part for you in the creation process is the prompt you input into the AI tools. To get the most out of AI generated presentations, think carefully about the message you want to convey and who your target audience is, and make sure you put this across in your prompt.

Why are AI generated presentations growing in popularity?

It’s clear that the use of AI tools in creating presentations makes the process much simpler, but there are other reasons why more and more people are turning to AI generated presentations. Let’s explore some of these perks.

AI generated presentations drastically reduce the amount of time needed to create a presentation. Instead of spending hours on design and layout, users can produce a complete slideshow in minutes.

Customization and adaptability

These tools often come with the ability to easily customize presentations for different audiences without starting from scratch. AI can suggest adjustments based on the audience’s profile or feedback, ensuring the AI generated presentation resonates well.

Access to high-quality design

Users gain access to professional design capabilities without needing a background in graphic design. AI tools can automatically apply design principles, ensuring slides are not only informative but also aesthetically pleasing.

Content enhancement

AI can suggest improvements to the content itself, such as simplifying complex information, highlighting key points, or even checking for grammatical errors, making the message clearer and more impactful.

Innovative features

Some AI presentation tools include features like automatic animation, data visualization, and even voice narration, which can make presentations more engaging and memorable than those created through traditional methods.

Seamless integration with existing workflows

A lot of AI presentation tools are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing workflows, making it easier for teams to collaborate and share insights. This means you can pull data directly from your work tools into your presentation, ensuring that your slides are always up-to-date with the latest information.

Enhanced audience engagement

Thanks to AI, presentations can now be more interactive and responsive to audience input. For example, AI may help you include live polls, Q&A sessions, and personalized content that adjusts in real-time based on audience feedback. This level of engagement keeps the audience more involved and interested, meaning AI generated presentations are more enjoyable and memorable.

Accessibility improvements

AI generated presentations also focus on making content more accessible to a wider audience. This includes features like automatic subtitle generation for videos, text-to-speech for those who prefer audio, and the ability to adjust presentations for viewers with specific accessibility needs. By ensuring your presentations can be easily understood and accessed by everyone, you’re not only reaching a wider audience but also promoting inclusivity.

Converting PowerPoint slides into a Prezi presentation

Want to break free from boring presentations? Just upload your PowerPoint slides and convert them into a dynamic Prezi presentation with a few simple clicks. All you need is a .ppt (or .pptx) file and a Prezi account to start turning your old linear slide deck into a dynamic moving story.

Getting started

First, create a new presentation from your Prezi Present dashboard by clicking Convert PowerPoint  on your dashboard.

Screenshot_2021-01-27_at_16.06.03.png

Uploading and converting a PowerPoint file

1. The template will open with the POWERPOINT sidebar already displayed. If you need to open it again, click the Insert button at the top of your screen, then select the PowerPoint icon.

2. Click Upload a file  in the popup window, then select a .ppt or .pptx file from your computer.

3. Once uploaded, you will see your slides appear in the sidebar.

ppt1.gif

Adding slides (topics and subtopics)

Once your slide deck uploads, select one or more slides and drag+drop them onto your canvas or tick the box next to the slides you'd like to add and select Insert at the bottom of the sidebar. When adding slides to your presentation, Prezi automatically converts them into a topic and subtopic structure .

  • Adding one slide will create a topic on your overview.
  • If you select multiple slides, the first slide will become a topic that contains subtopics for each additional slide.
  • You can also add one or more slides directly into an existing topic to create subtopics within it.

ppt2.gif

Customizing the look and feel

After adding your slides, you can easily change the shape of your topics (and subtopics) and their layout on your canvas.

1. Click the  Style  button at the top of your screen.

2. Click the three dots ( ... ) next to  Shape & Layout  to open the sidebar. You can also click directly on the thumbnail to automatically refresh the shape type.

3. From the sidebar, click to select a layout or shape. You will see it update on your canvas.

ppt3.gif

From the Style  menu, you can also easily change the background image and color scheme of your presentation.

PPT4.gif

Moving and deleting slides (topics and subtopics)

Since your slides become Prezi topics and subtopics once added to your presentation, you can move, resize, and rotate them as needed.

Click on a topic or subtopic and drag it anywhere on your canvas. After you’ve moved it to where you would like it to be, release the mouse.

To adjust the size, click on a topic or subtopic to select it and drag a corner to make it larger or smaller.

Click on a topic or subtopic to select it. Then hold down the ALTGr key (CTRL+right ALT) in Windows, or CMD for Mac, and drag one of the corners of the box up or down to turn it.

Click on a topic or subtopic and press BACKSPACE/DELETE on your keyboard, or right-click (CTRL/CMD+click) and select “delete” from the context menu .

Las Vegas is blazing hot and that means it's time for EFF to return to the hacker summer camp conferences— BSidesLV , Black Hat USA and DEF CON —to rally behind computer security researchers and tinkerers. EFF is glad to support members of this community all year long. Computer security has always relied on skilled hackers, and your privacy and free expression rely on strong web security. Below you will find all of EFF's scheduled talks and activities at the conferences.

As in past years, EFF staff attorneys will be present to help support speakers and attendees. If you have legal concerns regarding an upcoming talk or sensitive infosec research that you are conducting at any time, please email [email protected] . Outline the basic issues and we will do our best to connect you with the resources you need. Read more about EFF's work defending, offering legal counsel, and publicly advocating for technologists on our Coders' Rights Project page .

EFF staff members will be on hand in the expo areas of all three conferences. You may encounter us in the wild elsewhere, but we hope you stop by the EFF tables to talk to us about the latest in online rights, get on our action alert list, or become an EFF member . We'll also have our limited-edition DEF CON 32 member t-shirts on hand starting Friday or snag yours online today ! This year’s DEF CON member t-shirt is inspired by the 11th card of the tarot. Cole Hocker shocks the world to win gold in men's 1,500

prezi presentation usa

SAINT-DENIS, France − In a stunning win, Team USA's Cole Hocker not only took the gold medal Tuesday in the men's 1,500-meter race at the Stade de France at the Paris Olympics , but broke the Olympic record in doing so with a time of 3:27.65.

World champion Josh Kerr of Britain won silver with a time of 3:27.79, and American Yared Nuguse took the bronze with a personal best 3:27.80. Hocker came from behind with a blistering pace over the final stretch to overtake Kerr and break the Olympic record of 3:28.32 previously set at the Tokyo Games in 2021 by Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen.

"With 100 meters to go, I knew I had enough," Hocker said. "I haven't seen the race replay or anything, but I saw Jakob, I feel like he was thinking about Kerr and started drifting out, and I thought I'd take advantage of that and try to punch that inside, which I've been able to do a couple times in my career. He's a smart enough racer where he closed that down immediately, so I had to reassess. It was special to be able to attack not only once, but twice."

WOW. 😱 A STUNNING upset in the men’s 1500m as AMERICAN COLE HOCKER takes gold! #ParisOlympics pic.twitter.com/wlq81lbvSO — NBC Olympics & Paralympics (@NBCOlympics) August 6, 2024

Hocker is just the fourth American to win an Olympic gold medal in the 1,500.

The race had been billed as a showdown between Kerr and the confidently outspoken Ingebrigtsen, who not only saw his Olympic record fall, but was overtaken late in the race by the American Nuguse for the bronze, and faded to fourth.

It was Hocker, however, who overtook them all.

"I was staying relaxed, and with 150 (meters) to go, I've never heard a crowd like that. At that point I really didn't feel anything and I just went," Hocker added. "It felt like another race in terms of kicking by people. I've done it, I feel like, countless times in my career so far. And this time it just happened to be against the Olympic champion (Ingebrigtsen) and the world champion (Kerr)."

Ingebrigtsen opened an early lead and held it through the first 1,200 meters. That's when Hocker, who was in fourth place with just 300 meters left, made his big move for the upset and historic Olympic glory.

"(Kerr and Ingebrigtsen) have had all the added pressure and all the added noise," Hocker added. "I think that's part of this job is blocking out that noise, and it gets harder and harder the more you excel, and I'm sure that'll change after today. ... I've been able to fly under the radar for this meet, but I'm sure I won't anymore."

Team USA's Hobbs Kessler finished fifth with a personal best 3:29.45.
