my dream vacation goa essay

Here is your short paragraph on My Trip to Goa !

Last vacation we planned a trip to Goa. It was a great trip and we all enjoyed the trip thoroughly. Goa is a wonderful place and we had been longing to be there for some time.

Finally we made it happen and we started the journey by bus to Goa on a bright and beautiful day

I was so excited that during my journey to Goa , I could not sleep. I kept asking my Mom every now and then by when we would reach GOA. Finally my mom got angry and shouted at me. When we started entering GOA, I saw fishermen throwing their nets into the sea to catch the fish. It was a beautiful sight and I have seen that only in movies.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Going further down the road, the road was full of greenery with coconut trees, jackfruit trees and many other trees and the roads were all so clean. It was so nice to feel the morning and was not at all noisy.

During the day, it is almost silent and not very noisy, but as the sun sets, Life begins in GOA. It gets active and people come out and start having fun. There are small restaurants which have been made in the interiors of many small houses.

The beach is the best attraction of Goa. It was so much fun to be at the beach. We played in the waters, made sand castles, ran around, went for a swim and enjoyed the whole day. Going back we were so tired , but went on laughing at the great adventures at the sea. Next day we thought we would go around Goa.

We went to Panjim and on the way saw the ship decks being lighted so beautifully that one could not just take their eye from it. The restaurants are just fantastic there and the food is great. There are live bands in the restaurants and we enjoyed our meal in the presence of music. We then visited some of the churches in Goa. They have beautifully built churches there are it is a beauty to be there and pray.

We really enjoyed our trip and on the way back, bought some of the Goan street items , just for fun. The journey was great and the experience was wonderful. I would love to go to GOA once again, when given a chance.

How to Masterfully Cover the Topic of Goa in an Essay

How to Masterfully Cover the Topic of Goa in an Essay

Goa is the smallest state of India, which was declared as part of the country on May 30, 1987. It is a fabulously beautiful destination, so a lot of travelers who visit this coastal area fall in love with it.

What You Need to Know About Goa, an Indian State

Why is it not an a+ essay, tips on creating a brilliant essay about goa.

In this article, we'll go over crucial information on Goa, provide a sample essay, explain why it could use improvement, and finish up by providing tips for crafting a gorgeous, informative essay.

Goa has been a perfect destination for visitors for decades now. Millions of people flock to this small Indian city along the Arabian Sea coast. Its beautiful beaches and tropical landscape with coconut trees make the place extremely popular. However, its lush landscape is not the only reason why this part of India is preferred – it is very unusual and does not look like a typical Indian city, such as Mumbai or Delhi, for instance. The uniqueness is there because the Portuguese dominated Goa, which influenced their architecture. As a result, tourists can see various churches – like the Basilica of Bom Jesus, for example - and it makes the area stand out. You can still feel that Portuguese flavor when walking down the narrow streets and eating their dishes.

There are several splendid locations within Goa - like Calangute, which is famous for its bars and restaurants, and Baga, a beach known as a magnificent spot for water sports. Panjim used to be a fishing village and was declared as the capital by the Portuguese; one can still see the charm of its wonderful past. So, visitors can behold the churches and the buildings that remain intact because they have managed to overcome the testimony of time.

Sample Essay On Goa

Here is a sample essay about Goa. While not perfect, it covers the basics:

Goa is a state located in the southwest of India. This location is recognized as part of the Konkan region; it is geographically separated from the Deccan highlands with Western Ghats' aid, where you can see the breathtaking Dudhsagar waterfall. It is environed by the Indian state Maharashtra toward the north, Karnataka toward the east and south of Goa, and the Arabian Sea off the western coast. Panaji, with its red churches, terraced hills, and small rooftops, is the capital of the state. The city is also famous for Miramar, a lively area with sandy beaches and palm trees.

Goa has a rich history that starts at ancient times, and it lies next to the former Maratha, a huge Hindu empire created in 1674 that had a great impact on the area and its culture. However, the modern territory of Goa was formed in 1987. Despite being the smallest state of India, its history is long, while it was influenced by different events. Goa has numerous similarities to Indian background, particularly as to multi-social tasteful and frontier impacts.

The Satavahana and Mauryan Empires administered modern-day Goa in the Iron Age, while the Kadamba kingdom and Vijayanagara Empire governed it during the medieval period. In 1510, the Portuguese invaded Goa and defeated the Bijapur Sultanate. After that, they ruled for approximately 450 years and vigorously influenced Goan culture, architecture, and cuisine. This period in the state's history ended when the Indian Army annexed it after a 36-hour fight in 1961. However, Goa conceded statehood in 1987. It is barely possible to say what was the original name of the state, but Goa was known by different names in ancient writing like, for instance, Gopakapattana, Gomanchala, Govem, Gopakapattam, Gomantak, Govapuri, and Gopakapuri.

When we hear about this place, the first thing we have in our mind is the image: having a delicious drink by the magnificent beach because the state is famous for its beautiful beaches. Tourists usually know the area as North and South Goa. The first one is ideal if you want adventure sports, while the second is the best choice if you need to relax. More than fifty famous beaches are located in Goa; all of them are a feast to the eyes. It is always advised to visit Baga, Morjim, Candolim, and Colva beaches. Many go there to behold the sunset showing the philosophy and peace of life. Whether you are planning to have an unforgettable time with your friends or a peaceful family holiday, Goa has everything to make it perfect for you.

A well-recognized symbol in Goa is the cashew, so some even go there to purchase this nut. Another unique thing you can find in this state is Feni – an authentic liquor made of cashew nuts. It is possible to buy it anywhere, let it be Anjuna, Ponda, Salcete, or Vasco da Gama. Noteworthy, the drink produced in South Goa is usually of higher alcohol content (43-45% above) compared to the Feni consumed in North Goa. Other than that, the state is popular for the preparation of pork and prawns, a wide range of alcoholic drinks, and colorful carnivals.

Goa significantly contributes to the tourism and economic system. The internal excellence of Goa is easy to notice due to its energetic societies and overall brilliance.

Even if you know everything about Goa, it can still be hard to write an A+ essay. Here's why you might end up with a lesser grade:

  • There might be no logical structure;
  • Your essay could lack clear and thoughtful meaning;
  • You might fail to introduce extensive research and sophisticated understanding;
  • There could be an absence of artistic creativity and style;
  • Your essay could have a few mistakes.

Speaking of the sample essay on Goa, it lacks logical structure. The author did carry out extensive research, but the parts of the text do not seem to be connected in many cases. The introduction of the essay is long, while the last part is too short. In addition to that, there is no proper conclusion, so a reader may think that it is a fragment of a bigger article, but not an essay.

Writing an essay about a country is a vast topic, so you need to plan in advance which sub-topics to cover. The biggest challenge is narrowing down the material. What you can do is break up the topic into three main parts – a political aspect, a social aspect, and the economy. The next thing you can do is to talk about Goa's past, present, and future; it is a wonderful way to discuss any state or country.

You can write a brilliant essay about Goa if you combine all the mentioned aspects, and here is what you can do for this purpose:

  • You can discuss the political, social, and economic aspects in the first section about the past. In other words, you can mention the Konkani language, Portuguese invasion, territory, etc.;
  • In this section, you can describe what is happening in the country these days. For example, you can write a few words about ancient buildings, such as Se Cathedral, national parks, Sahyadri, and the Bondla wildlife sanctuary. Generally, you should specify why Goa is special and what unique attractions it can offer, and it is important to include a few words about celebrations. For example, you can describe how they celebrate the New Year;
  • The last part should contain your predictions regarding Goa. For instance, you can write that Goa will always be an ideal place for parasailing, water scootering, and other related activities.

You can make up a different structure if you prefer; there are no strict rules when it comes to what information should be in every part. However, you should always make sure that you mention politics, society, and economics.

Let's see what you can do considering the above tips. The introduction is good – but instead of being focused on Goa's geography, it is better to add some information about the language locals speak and what this state is famous for. For example, you can add that the main language is Konkani, but they all speak English.

"When we hear about this place, the first thing we have in our mind is the image: having a delicious drink by the magnificent beach because the state is famous for its beautiful beaches" – in this sentence, the word "beach" is used twice, so it is better to replace one. For instance, you should write, "the state is famous for its beautiful scenery."

The following two sentences do not seem to be connected at all – "Goa significantly contributes to the tourism and economic system. The internal excellence of Goa is easy to notice due to its energetic societies and overall brilliance." It means that you should either replace one or add a sentence to make this part more logical. For example, it can be – "Goa significantly contributes to the tourism and economic system, and it will he main source of income in the nearest future. Moreover, the state brings the bigger share of the country's profit thanks to Goa's internal excellence, which is easy to notice due to its energetic societies and overall brilliance."

Goa is a wonderful place. It is like heaven on the Earth; so many people around the world love this state and go there again and again. Even though writing an essay about Goa might seem to be confusing at first, it is an easy thing to do if you follow the structure. Obviously, you should know a few things about this part of India to build a good text, but it is crucial to make it logical. Use the sample essay and tips provided in this article and write a brilliant A+ essay easily.

My Dream 6 Days Vacation Guide to Goa

Introduction to 6 days vacation guide to goa.

I recently embarked on an unforgettable 6 Days Vacation Guide to Goa. This was my first time boarding a real flight, and although I had experienced simulated flights at Ramoji Film City as a kid, the excitement of a real trip was unmatched. Visiting Goa had always been a dream, and it finally came true. Here’s a detailed account of my amazing six-day adventure in this vibrant coastal paradise.

Table of contents, day 1: arrival and settling in goa.

We touched down in Goa and reached our hotel around 4 PM. The first order of business was to freshen up and hit the local supermarket for snacks and essentials. Stocking up our room with goodies, we knew we’d be set for the trip. That evening, we made our way to Anjuna Beach, where we chilled at a shack and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The sound of the waves was soothing, and we ended the day with a peaceful night’s sleep.

Day 2: Exploring Scenic Locations in Goa

Our second day started with a visit to Parra Road, made famous by the movie “Dear Zindagi.” The scenic beauty was breathtaking, but a word of caution—don’t park your bike on the roadside as fines are hefty and immediate. After capturing some stunning photos, we headed to Vagator Beach. Each beach in Goa has its unique vibe, and Vagator was no exception. The hot sun couldn’t dampen our spirits as we roamed the beautiful shores.

Day 3: Panjim and Fontainhas

Day three was all about exploring Panjim. We wandered through Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Goa, which is incredibly Instagrammable with its colorful houses and narrow streets. Next, we visited the Aguvada old jail, a place brimming with history. The view from the jail was extraordinary, offering a unique perspective of Goa. After a day full of exploration, we spent a quiet evening by the beach, listening to the waves and soaking in the moonlit scenery.

Day 4: Day Trip to Dudhsagar Waterfalls

We woke up at 4:30 AM for a day trip to Dudhsagar Waterfalls, a must-visit natural wonder. The journey involved a thrilling jeep ride through the forest, and we spent an hour marveling at the cascading waters. Timing is crucial here—stick with your group to avoid getting lost in the dense forest. We returned to our hotel by evening, then headed to a fancy restaurant for dinner. The cheesecake there was divine and worth every penny.

Day 5: Arambol Beach and Sweet Water Lake

Our fifth day began with shopping at Arambol Market, though I wouldn’t recommend buying much as the quality wasn’t great. Arambol Beach, however, was fantastic with its hippie vibes and friendly locals. After enjoying the beach, we walked to Sweet Water Lake and took a refreshing dip. That evening, we visited a popular Instagrammable café. Arrive early for the best sunset views and enjoy the delectable food.

Day 6: Final Day in Goa

On our last day, we had breakfast at the hotel café, making sure to use up our complimentary points. The food was excellent, and it was a great start to a relaxed day. We spent a good amount of time at the beach, then chilled by the hotel pool until evening. The final sunset was one of the most beautiful moments of our trip. Later that night, we partied at a nearby club, enjoying our last hours in Goa before heading back to Hyderabad the next morning, albeit sleep-deprived.

My thoughts and experiences, goa – my dream vacation.

After years of waiting and trying, I finally had a chance to visit Goa – a dream destination. I wanted to share the few pictures I clicked during the trip ( I was too busy being lazy to click photos on this perfect vacation) but I also wanted to remember all of it in detail. So I am sharing my day by day trip details. ( You can skip reading and just click the pictures to enlarge them if you want) 😉

We began our journey from Hyderabad via road. Unfortunately, we choose to travel by the Mumbai highway. Our route was Hyderabad-Zaheerabad-Gurbalga-Bijapur-Bagalkot-Belgaum-Goa. Most of the Mumbai highway was potholes with a foot of ROAD here and there, so our average speed was 10Km/hrs. But once we got off that road, the rest was a breeze. The route was mostly a single road, but the road condition was good. However there were a lot of speedbreakers, so you couldn’t go too fast for too long.

We took a break at Bijapur and did a little bit of site seeing before starting for Goa the next day. We started with the GOL GUMBAZ. Probably Gol Gumbaz is the second largest tomb in the world. It has a diameter of 40 meter and huge halls. One of the characteristic features of the tomb is that its dome stands without any support from a pillar. Another attraction of the monument is the “Whispering Gallery”, where even a single whisper is increased 10 times and is echoed innumerable times on the other side of the mausoleum due to the acoustics of the space.

gol gumbak

Next was Shivagiri. Lord Shiva Statue is an 85 feet tall Shiva Statue that has been installed by the T.K. Patil Banakatti Charitable Trust in Bijapur at Shivapur on Sindagi Road. It is slowly making as a pilgrimage location. 1,500 tonnes statue of Lord Shiva is considered as the second largest statue of Lord Shiva in India.

Shivgiri

I was surprised that Belgaum doesn’t have any KFC, PizzaHut, Mc Donald. But the Biryani at Hotel Charminar (or any of its outlets) is a good bet. We took the Ghat road to Goa from Belgaum which was a delight. The inpronto waterfalls created by the slight rain added to the scenic beauty. Towards the end of this road, the road was not that great but we got to Goa and I was delighted.

Ghatroad

The next day we had lunch at Chef Soumyen’s Kitchen. The experience was great and the food was lovely too.

chefSouyen'sKitchen

We enjoyed light snacks in the evening at Nescafe next to the Panaji Residency before heading towards the statue of Abbe.

panjim

We visited the Mahalakshmi temple and headed back for Calangute. On our way we visited the Shree Rudresh Temple and the Mae De Deus Church. We had a great time at Under the stars and the kids pestered us to go there again the next day. I have never been huge on experimenting but out there I did not mind. I trusted the chef and just asked him to surprise me. We got fish and a dessert made of coconut. I dislike both these items but when I tasted them, I could not even taste the coconut or the fish. It was just so TASTY. The kids got a bonus of crispy chicken with homestyle fries. Needless to say, they loved it!

UnderTheStar

The next morning saw us at the beach again. We woke up at 6AM and enjoyed the beach till 7:30 before heading to the hotel for a much needed breakfast. Nia collected shells and after taking a bath and some breakfast we dozed off again. In the evening we headed out to the Arambol beach which has very soft but dark sand. I got a foot massage at the beach where the local ladies try to sell junk jewelry and wrap around skirts to all tourists. After it got dark we came back to freshen up and headed to the Calangute towers for dinner.

ArambolCalanguteTowers

Our last night in Goa was at Hyaat, Bambolin beach. We visited Dona Paula before checking into the hotel.

donaPaula

We loved the property. The pool was amazing with a separate kids area. We swam, and lazed around the pool ordering snacks instead of a proper lunch just so we could stay at the pool a little longer. We then headed to the beach. To Nia’s delight it was full of sea shells and she collected a lot of them. We headed back when it started raining.

HyattPoolandBeach

The kids enjoyed themselves at the Camp Kids area while I got ready for dinner. After dinner we strolled in the hotel lawn and enjoyed the roar of the sea.

HyaatDinner

We had a bay view room with a fantastic view that tempted us to sit in the veranda for longer than what I had planned. The next morning we woke up early to stroll on the beach and slept off again. We woke up for breakfast and then checked out of the hotel to head back home.

viewfromroom

A 12 hour drive got us back to Hyderabad. We took the Goa-Belgaum-Bijapur-Gulbarga-Sedam-Pargi-ORR-Hyd route and the road was is good condition.  Goa- a dream come true but it is good to be back home!

Speech on My Dream Vacation (981 Words)

March 20, 2018 by Study Mentor 1 Comment

Good Morning Teachers and my dear friends, my topic is on “My Dream Vacation”

Dream vacation is when you go to a place you have dreamt about. A place about which you have many ideas. A place about which you have many thoughts in mind.

I personally have been on such a trip recently. My dream destination was Goa. And I had a chance to spend my dream vacation there.

My first interest about this place arose seeing the documentaries on discovery channel. They showcased beautiful blue sea waters and golden beaches where foreigners came to get their skin tanned. Such a pretty sight they put forward.

My chance came when my dad got leave from his office and wanted to visit some place for a change. He immediately agreed when I suggested Goa. So, our family set off for Goa.

On reaching there I didn’t know that so many surprises were waiting there for me. We took a cab to reach our hotel but on the way, I came across different housings and small cottages.

And believe me or not all the cottages were so pretty and beautiful. All of them were brightly colored in various shades. One thing that all the houses had in common was that, all of them that pitched roof.

And maximum of them had a frontal courtyard with a beautifully decorated garden.

All the people in Goa are very frank and open minded. They don’t judge people according to religion or customs or their get up. We were welcomed into our inn. It was a small cozy little place. In morning we went to take a bath in the nearest beach that is the Bernaulim beach. The coast was strictly guarded by life guards.

Seashore

It was fun riding the bikes as the roads were clean and even and it was right beside the sea.

So, one could clearly see the shinning golden sands and blue water and the horizon while riding, this is like taking fun of both the scenes at the same time.

Goa is divided into two parts North Goa which is the Old Goa and South Goa which is the New Goa .

Old Goa is the place where the Portuguese first settled. They have old houses, sculptures and churches built. It has a touch of Portuguese architecture. We visited many places in Goa.

We visited the famous Dona Paula viewpoint which is famous as a suicide point. We also visited the famous Vasco da Gama station which was designed by Charles Chorrea. It was one of his earliest works. We then visited the basilica of Bom Jesus. It is a world heritage site.

It contains the body remains of St. Francis… His body got self-preserved after he died. His body is kept in a glass coffin high up on an alter for visitors to see and pray. Strict discipline and silence is maintained in the church premises.

There were small shops selling knick-knacks along the side of the roads. We bought necklaces, bangles, fancy candles and showpieces which are typical of Goa for the Goa.

There is this famous Dudhsagar Falls. It is a famous waterfall. Dinner was what I relished the most. Goa offers a wide range of authentic sea food collection. From prawns to squids, from oysters to sharks they have it all.

I dipped my tongue into a tasty bowl of oyster’s sauce soup, while my dad went about the business of munching a squid garnished a pan-fried with chilly, lemon and other herbs. Sea food is something you can never afford to miss in Goa.

The night brought in another aspect of the beaches. All the roadside restaurants, cafe and tea bars opened.

The places got filled with foreigners who danced, drank an ate in their own gala mood. Some cafes offered live performances by artists which the people could enjoy will having their food.

Other cafe’s offered sing along or karaoke type performances where the customers can come up an entertain others. The whole environment becomes a place for joy and merriment. The cafes by the sea offered candle light dinner. But to be honest Goa is a costly place. Food is costly in Goa.

The sea had another face at night. The blue rippling waters turns black at night. It is wonderful to walk in the beach at night with the cool breezes hitting your face and skin thus creating a calm atmosphere. Security is good in Goa. People stay out till late.

The cafe’s and restaurants stay open almost all night. The crowds gather around the beaches and there is no sign of criminal activity. There are a lot of liquor shops as well. Liquor is cheap in Goa. The vehicle hiring shops stay open all night.

Due to excessive population pressure the clear waters are slowly becoming dirty day by day. Water is getting infested with jelly fishes which are threat to humans and small children bathing in the water. Humans are throwing plastics into the water which are a threat of marine animals.

Not only this the garbage is collected at the beaches thus making the beaches dirtier. Serious steps should be taken up by all of us right now otherwise Goa will not be an enjoyable place anymore. It will lose its recognition as a tourist destination.

My stay in Goa was enjoyable. Truly it was a dream vacation. I was sad when our trip in Goa was on an end and it was time for us to go home.

My Dream Vacation Essay | Essay on My Perfect Dream Vacation, My Dream Trip

January 12, 2022 by Prasanna

My Dream Vacation Essay: In our daily lives, we are often trapped in routine ways of doing things. Almost all of us want to take a break and spend a vacation at a place away from cities, preferably close to nature. It’s an ideal place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and the stress that goes along with it. The ideas of the dream vacation can vary from one person to another as per their choice and perception of a perfect place for vacation.

Some dream about relaxing on a warm, sunny beach within soft ocean breezes. Some think of viewing snow-capped mountains while enjoying a trek and some may look for forests and wildlife. Such dreams about vacation trips are related to many aspects of our lives and experiences. Vacation dreams represent the desire to go on a trip to get a much-needed break from the daily routine.

Long Essay on My Dream Vacation

The place for my dream vacation

Everyone has a dream place to spend a vacation with family and friends. Many of them are fortunate enough to get the chance to fulfill their desire. In this regard, I also have a dream of spending time in a place to get a feel about the environment, people, and culture of that place. I love mountains, especially the Himalayas. I would like to spend my dream vacation at a place where I can experience the beauty of the Himalayas and breathe some fresh air free from pollution while traveling along the tracks amidst flora and fauna.

For me, an ideal place for vacation is Pelling situated in Sikkim, India. It is a popular place for its natural scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. From enjoying the beauty of mountains, lakes, and waterfalls to exploring the secrets of historical ruins, there are plenty of attractions that make it an ideal place for vacation. When I am looking for places to relax and rejuvenate, Pelling comes at top of my priority list.

Nature at its best

Pelling is a beautiful town located in the hills of the west district of Sikkim. The main attraction of the place is the breathtaking sight of the Kanchenjunga and the other peaks of the Himalayas. Pelling is my favorite hill station with a charm of its own. It offers a perfect break from a fanatic work schedule and makes me relax within the ocean of beauty and calmness. Pelling is a natural splendor with its magnificence and beauty.

The place enchants me with its fresh biospheres, great waterfalls, and shimmering lakes. I prefer spending my vacation in Pelling during the winters. This time of the year is a great season to witness the beauty of Pelling as the place remains covered with fresh snowfall which gives a feel like being in paradise. I highly recommend Pelling as a perfect holiday destination to relax with short tours in nature and the countryside.

The place and people

The view of the Kanchenjunga waterfall amidst the thick woody surroundings creates a sheer beauty. During the stay, a must-visit is the scenic Khecheopalri Lake, which has a lush backdrop of forest and hills. The lake holds special significance as it was known to be a wish-fulfilling lake. At the outskirts of Pelling, there is Darap Village with inhabitants from Limboo tribes. This place offers an opportunity to get acquainted with the original Sikkimese culture and the simple lifestyle of people. A walk through the village in the lap of nature will surely freshen up the body and mind. Staying in homestays will give a chance to enjoy the hospitality of local people along with getting a taste of authentic cuisines. All these are supplemented by nature exploration, bird-watching, hiking, and enjoying a unique experience of the village life here.

The Ancient and modern structures

A visit to the Rabdentse Ruins is another experience by itself. Spread across the hilltop, the ruins of the palace are surrounded by thick deciduous forests. A short walk to the top will bring a panoramic view of the valley and the mighty Kanchenjunga range. To spend some time with me, I must visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, a peaceful sanctum providing the perfect atmosphere for meditation and solitude. Another thrilling experience is walking on Pelling Skywalk which is a long bridge with glass floors.

Taste of local cuisines and culture

My special interest in spending vacation is exploring the taste of local cuisine. I know that the local cuisine of Sikkim is influenced by Tibetan and Nepali cuisine. I really can’t wait to have a taste of unique dishes like Thukpa, Momo, Churpi, Sel Roti, Kinema, Gundruk, and other delicious delicacies. A vacation is not complete without purchasing local products and mementos. Sikkim is famous for a variety of handicrafts and locally produced items that are unique to the place. I will find time to visit the local markets of Pelling and pick up handmade gifts and souvenirs like woven bamboo articles, colorful woolen scarves, Tibetan ornaments, and accessories. I will also fill my bag with spices like black cardamom, enjoy a cup of tea, and eat walnuts before going back to my city bidding goodbye to Pelling.

Vacation gives a break

A vacation is a much-needed break from daily routine activities and a busy schedule. All of us want to escape for at least a few days from this mundane routine life and enjoy some quality time with family and near ones, in a relaxed mood. A vacation trip to a place of interest gives a soulful satisfaction and refreshes our minds. Everyone has some idea about what his/her dream vacation should be like. In most cases, it necessarily is a trip to a place away from the city which is unaffected by the hazards of day-to-day life. The main focus is to make the mind free from stress and the burden of work commitment. A vacation is a time to relax and rejuvenate after a stressful work schedule.

Being with the nature

Some may think of their dream vacations in luxurious holiday destinations with top-class facilities but I would prefer to spend my vacation in a place with optimum amenities and natural surroundings. It may be a hill station, forest, or seaside location with a touch of serenity and beauty. My dream vacation would be in the hilly regions of the Himalayas where I can enjoy the weather and the places while being in the midst of nature. The experience of breathing fresh air, looking at the clear sky, waking up by the chirping of birds, and exploring the flora and fauna will bring my dream into reality.

With sandy beaches, fresh seafood, and a vibrant culture, Goa is India’s hidden gem - and the perfect vacation spot. Whether you like lounging by the water or partying it up at a rave, there’s no shortage of fun activities and beautiful sights. To plan your trip, consider where you want to stay, how you’re going to get there, and what you want to do while you’re there.

Planning Your Trip

Step 1 Make sure you have the necessary travel documents.

  • It’s smart to make copies of your travel documents before leaving. Keep some at home and bring a couple with you just in case.
  • Because it’s so humid in Goa, wrapping your travel papers in plastic wrap or sealing them in a plastic bag will prevent them from getting damp or ruined. [2] X Research source

Step 2 Visit during the months of November to January.

  • Budget travelers should go during the months of February to April to enjoy nice weather without the expensive prices.

Step 3 Fly into Dabolim Airport.

  • Dabolim is only 18 miles (29 km) south of Goa’s capital, Panjim. You can take a taxi or bus there from the airport. [5] X Research source Avoid price haggling by getting your taxi at the prepaid taxi counter. [6] X Research source

Step 4 Pack properly based on the weather and your itinerary.

  • Not every place in Goa will accept credit cards. Those that do (mostly hotels and higher-end stores) typically take MasterCard or Visa. [10] X Research source
  • Keep some U.S. dollars with you in case of emergency.

Staying in Goa

Step 1 Choose your accommodations well in advance.

  • If you prefer an off-the-beaten-path experience, you can backpack in the countryside or rent a beach shack.

Step 2 Get around Goa via motorbike.

  • Unlike most of the country, it’s okay to meat - even beef - in Goa. [13] X Research source
  • Remove your shoes and go barefoot in any holy buildings or shrines. [14] X Research source
  • If you aren’t sure how to act in a situation, watch what the locals are doing and follow suit.

Choosing Your Activities

Step 1 Relax on one of the many beaches.

  • Henna tattoo artists often stroll the beaches. These are temporary and a fun treat for tourists to participate in local culture.

Step 2 Eat authentic Goan cuisine.

  • You can’t go wrong with any of the fresh seafood caught off the coast of Goa, either. You’ll find everything from tuna to mussels to prawns to sushi on most restaurant menus. [17] X Research source
  • Always request bottled mineral water as some of the tap water may not be safe for drinking. [18] X Research source

Step 3 Explore local villages.

  • Some of the best spices are grown on spice plantations in Goa so pick up a packet or two while you shop. [20] X Research source

Step 4 Experience the vibrant nightlife.

  • If you’re looking for the hottest nightclubs, you’ll want to hit up Tito's Road (a strip of dance clubs) in Baja Beach or one of the rooftop raves in Anjuna Beach. [21] X Research source

My Dream Vacation

The vacation I dream of is a sunny beach with waves and a surfing paradise which I hope one day comes true.

One year in the near future I hope that on a cold December night I will be in an airport boarding EZ-Life Airlines which will fly me from Vancouver to Hawaii , non-stop. Can you imagine 11 hours on EZ-Life Airlines with a CD walkman and waiters? After landing in Hawaii I would then take a limo to the luxurious Beachwood Hotel just ten minutes from the fabulous beach of Hawaii. After getting a butler to carry all of my stuff up and after I have found my bathing suit and surfboard, I would roller blade down to the beach and hang ten. After surfing I would tan with no disturbances and lay sleeping for a few hours. After that it would be around mid-afternoon and I would then take my $2,000 spending money and go shopping which I love to do - especially when I am shopping for myself. After I would just totally relax and enjoy my time away from everything.

After one week of paradise I would board EZ-Life Airlines and fly back to Vancouver and home just in time for Christmas and that would be the perfect vacation for me. To me this would be wonderful except for one thing. If I ever have the chance to make this come true you know I would waste no time in inviting my favorite people in the world to enjoy beautiful Hawaii where life is really EZ!

Essay on My Dream Holiday

Students are often asked to write an essay on My Dream Holiday in their schools and colleges. And if you’re also looking for the same, we have created 100-word, 250-word, and 500-word essays on the topic.

Let’s take a look…

100 Words Essay on My Dream Holiday

My dream vacation.

Imagine a holiday where the sun shines on a sandy beach and the sea gently touches your feet. This is my dream holiday, a place where I can relax and play without any worries.

The Perfect Location

My ideal spot is a quiet island with clear blue waters and tall palm trees. I can build sandcastles, swim, and enjoy tasty fruits. It’s a peaceful place where I can read books and listen to the waves.

Fun Activities

I would love to snorkel and see colorful fish. In the evenings, I’d sit by a campfire, roast marshmallows, and watch the stars. This holiday would be a time to make happy memories.

250 Words Essay on My Dream Holiday

My perfect vacation.

Everyone loves a good holiday, a time to take a break from school or work and enjoy life. My dream holiday is simple but very special to me. It would be a trip to a place where the sun shines bright, the water is warm, and the sand feels soft under my feet. Yes, my ideal vacation is at the beach!

I would not just lie on the beach all day. I would also try new things like learning to surf or going snorkeling to see colorful fish. Maybe I would even go on a boat ride. Playing beach volleyball with new friends could be a great way to spend the afternoon.

Food and Family

No dream holiday is complete without delicious food. I imagine eating lots of fresh fruits and seafood. Sharing these meals with my family would make the holiday even better. We would have picnics on the beach and watch the sunset together.

Memories to Keep

At the end of my holiday, I would have a bag full of shells, a camera full of pictures, and a heart full of memories. This simple beach holiday might not seem like much, but for me, it would be perfect. It’s all about the joy, the peace, and the time spent with loved ones. That’s my dream holiday.

500 Words Essay on My Dream Holiday

Introduction to my dream holiday.

Everyone loves holidays because they are times when we can relax, enjoy ourselves, and forget about our daily problems. My dream holiday is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and learning new things. In this essay, I will share with you what my dream holiday looks like.

The Perfect Destination

My dream holiday would be in a place where the sun is bright, the beaches are golden, and the sea is as blue as the sky. I imagine it to be on a tropical island with palm trees where I can hear the sound of waves and feel the soft sand under my feet. The weather would be just right, not too hot and not too cold, perfect for spending all day outside.

Learning New Things

Holidays are not just for fun; they are also for learning new things. On my dream holiday, I would learn to cook local dishes. I would visit the markets to see all the different fruits, vegetables, and fish that I have never seen before. I would ask the local people to teach me some words in their language too. That way, I can make new friends and learn about their way of life.

Relaxing Times

After a day full of activities, I would need some time to relax. I would lie in a hammock, read my favorite book, or just watch the sun go down. At night, I would have dinner under the stars and listen to the sound of the sea. I think it’s important to have quiet times like this to think and to rest.

Sharing the Experience

In conclusion, my dream holiday is a mix of sun, sea, and sand, with lots of fun activities, learning, and relaxing. It’s a time to escape from the usual routine, to explore new places, and to spend quality time with my family. I hope one day I can turn this dream into a reality and have the best holiday ever.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

Happy studying!
